Award-winning play returns to Lincoln

An award-winning play, written by staff member and aspiring playwright Jimmy Osborne, is set to return to LPAC this weekend, four years after its scratch performance at the venue.

‘Maisie Says She Loves Me’, a one-man play, tells a tale of love, inheritance and not letting your feelings show.

Maisie loves Sheldon, but Sheldon’s not so sure. He suffers from indigestion. But maybe it’s not indigestion, maybe it’s love?

The show is fresh from the 2017 VAULT Festival, London’s answer to the Edinburgh Fringe, where it won an Origins Award for Outstanding New Work.

The play’s success has shone a spotlight on Jimmy, who has since been selected for the BBC Writersroom’s Drama Room – a scheme designed to develop the best in new drama writing and to help them gain BBC broadcast commissions.

‘Maisie Says She Loves Me’ features as part of POP OUT Festival 2017 – Lincoln Performing Arts Centre’s celebration of art outside the ordinary. #PopOutFest.
