Personal Effectiveness and Assertiveness

The Personal Effectiveness and Assertiveness course is designed to help you to develop interpersonal and assertiveness skills to deal effectively with other people in a range of different situations.

By the end of the course, you will have learned:

• To understand the difference between passive, aggressive and assertive behaviours
• To develop an understanding of body language and the messages this sends out
• Understanding the techniques of assertiveness and when to use them
• To understand our own triggers and develop strategies for dealing with situations we find challenging.

The course is open to all staff, and there are no prerequisites required.
