EGC LogoSean Morton from the University of Lincoln’s School of Health and Social Care will speak at the Eleanor Glanville Centre’s next Be Inspired! Lecture. The lecture, entitled ’10 Reasons for Anyone to Be a Nurse (& 5 More for More Men to Join Us)’ will highlight the positive and rewarding experiences of nursing, as well as addressing potential reasons behind the comparatively low number of men entering the profession.

Sean Morton is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Health and Social Care at the University of Lincoln. He qualified as a Registered Nurse in 1993 from St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, and his first staff nurse post was in acute neurosurgery at the Royal London Hospital where he developed an interest in head injury and assessment.

Sharing insights from his own career in nursing, Sean will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the profession and explain why it is a good career choice for everyone as well as addressing current issues in the health and social care sector and public perception of the NHS.

The lecture will take place at 17:00 on Tuesday 6th March in the Architecture and Design Building Lecture Theatre on the Brayford Pool campus. The lecture will be followed by a drinks reception, allowing for further questions and networking opportunities.

This lecture is free to attend but prior booking is essential. Places can be booked here:
