Nominate a Colleague for a Teaching Excellence Award (TEA)

 posted by | 24/04/2019

If you have a colleague who consistently goes above and beyond in their role, why not recognise their hard work by submitting a nomination by Tuesday 28th May!

The Teaching Excellence Awards is a peer nomination scheme aimed at recognising and celebrating excellence in teaching practice at the University of Lincoln. A subset of the Staff Merit and Achievement Awards (SMAs) which open later in the year, these awards offer staff the chance to anonymously nominate a colleague for recognition and are facilitated by the LALT Engagement Team in conjunction with HR.

A panel of leaders in teaching and learning, including the Dean of LALT and the College Directors of Education, will meet to judge the nominations, and may also recommend particularly well-evidenced nominations to the attention of the Vice-Chancellor, to be considered for a Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award. Winners of the VC Award are invited to speak about their practice at Graduation, while the Teaching Excellence Award is bestowed by the Vice-Chancellor as part of the SMAs ceremony.

Teaching staff can nominate any colleague, and will remain anonymous unless they choose otherwise. Nominations are now live, and will remain open until Tuesday 28th May. To learn about previous winners, or to submit a nomination, visit lncn.ac/TEA
